Magic of McMillen Health Education - 614
McMillen Center professional educators can connect to students anywhere whether in a face to face format or through the internet with interactive presentations that align to Indiana’s Health and Wellness Standards.  The Magic of McMillen presentation will highlight an elementary bullying program called "Don’t Give Me Any Bull," a middle school drug education program called "Informed Decisions," and a high school nutrition class called "Balance Your Act."  Each of these programs is interactive and attendees will be able to participate in activities that are part of these programs - including balloons, chocolate candy and plastinated human organs.   Come experience how health education is fun, participatory, and take away some useful information for yourself as well.

This presentation will focus on tech tools that can adapt grade level text for students who struggle to access content in the general education classroom. Tech tools will be introduced that assist to provide access to grade level curriculum such as OCR converters, web based text to speech as well as helpful apps.
